Since day one, we have personally screened everyone who signs up to trial PressPlugs. Credentials are reviewed, and many trial accounts are never activated or are removed following additional checks.
Our network is made up predominantly of established communications agencies. This provides an additional layer of reassurance – reputable PRs know their clients well, and if something doesn’t feel right, we can usually identify it quickly.
We also encourage journalists to flag any responses they’re unsure about. Where platform messaging is used, we can review replies for potential red flags. While no platform can eliminate risk entirely, particularly as AI tools advance, active vetting and monitoring significantly reduce exposure to fake experts.
